Respiratory Therapy
Owner Damian Solorzano has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of Respiratory Therapy across the care continuum from hospital to home. His experience includes roles in bedside acute care, home care, sleep medicine as well as clinical education. He has also served the community in volunteer roles with the Colorado Respiratory Care Society, most recently as Past President and serves on the advisory board for the Respiratory Therapy program at Pickens Technical College. Damian has taken his unique skills in Respiratory Care and combined them with his passion for personal health to create a truly unique customer experience that combines both clinical science and holistic health through breathwork.
Buteyko Breathing
From Buteyko Clinic International; Named after Dr Konstantin Buteyko, the Buteyko Method consists of a series of breathing exercises and guidelines specifically designed to reduce over-breathing (clinically known as ‘chronic hyperventilation’) and mouth breathing. Chronic hyperventilation alters the natural levels of gases in the blood, reduces oxygen delivery to tissues and organs, and causes constriction of the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels and airways. This can lead to numerous health problems. Bringing breathing volume towards normal and making the switch from mouth to nose breathing helps to alleviate such health problems.
